We offer professional rehabilitation treatment and training, as well as wellness care and preventive training.

Through a variety of treatment and training methods used in rehabilitation after an injury or orthopaedic procedure, your dog can return more quickly to an active life. This is achieved by improving muscle and joint mobility, strength, balance, coordination, and overall fitness. Wellness treatments and preventive training include everything that helps your animal feel good and stay well prepared for its activities by building and maintaining muscle strength and physical condition.

Rehabilitation involves the use of various treatment and training methods to help your dog return more quickly to an active life after an injury or orthopedic procedure.

By improving muscle strength, joint mobility, balance, coordination, and overall fitness, clinical symptoms are reduced, along with discomfort, pain, and inflammation.
A rehabilitation program always begins with a functional assessment conducted by a certified canine therapist. If your dog has been referred by a veterinarian, further treatment and training are planned in consultation with them.

Wellness care and preventive training include everything that helps your animal feel well and stay properly prepared for its activities by building muscle strength and overall fitness.

We provide individually tailored training programs and exercises that strengthen and prepare your dog for its specific tasks in a controlled and safe manner. Wellness care and preventive training are always carried out by, or in consultation with, a certified canine therapist.

Treadmill Training

The treadmill is suitable for both rehabilitation patients and healthy dogs. Training is tailored to the dog’s current condition by adjusting speed and incline.
Individual treadmill sessions are always introduced with guidance from a certified canine therapist.

Electrotherapy

Electrotherapy, or electrical stimulation, is a well-established therapeutic treatment within physiotherapy. It is a collective term for various methods where electrical currents are used to treat different types of body tissue.
The most common forms are diadynamic and galvanic currents, which should not be confused with TENS (transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation). Different types of currents affect muscle and nerve tissue in different ways.
Electrotherapy is a high-tech, machine-based treatment using low- and medium-frequency currents. The current passes between positive and negative electrodes placed on the treatment area. This increases local blood circulation, helping tense and tight muscles to relax. The method also provides pain relief.
Compared to treatments such as TENS, ultrasound, and massage, electrotherapy has a deeper, more long-lasting effect on deep muscle tissue.
It can also be used for severe wounds where increased circulation is needed to support healing. The treatment is generally completely painless and does not cause discomfort for the dog.
Electrotherapy must always be performed by trained professionals in a controlled environment.

Laser Therapy

Laser therapy is a versatile, non-invasive, and highly effective treatment method.

We use the Irradia MID laser system, which consists of a base unit connected to different types of laser probes depending on the treatment area. The system controls and powers handheld probes used during treatment. All relevant parameters are displayed on an LCD screen for proper documentation, and a dose counter ensures the correct amount of laser is applied.
For larger areas and deeper conditions such as neck and back pain, muscle issues, and tendon disorders, pulsed infrared light (904 nm) is used. Its high peak power allows deep penetration into tissue, making it particularly effective for musculoskeletal problems.
For pain and trigger points, as well as muscle and joint treatments, a GaAlAs laser (808 nm) is used. For wound healing, skin conditions, superficial tendon issues, mucous membranes, and laser acupuncture, a GaAlInP laser (650 nm) emitting visible red light is used.
Extensive scientific research supports the positive effects of laser therapy, including anti-inflammatory effects, increased cell activity, improved ATP production, and enhanced blood circulation. The Irradia MID laser has demonstrated effectiveness in multiple studies.

Genuine Swedish Massage (GSM)

Genuine Swedish Massage is an ancient form of massage, significantly older than classical massage, and works more deeply to produce immediate and long-lasting results.
The treatment consists of three stages: muscle stimulation, stretching, and drainage. This increases blood flow, separates muscle fibers, and helps the body eliminate waste products and excess fluid, supporting natural healing.
Today’s dogs are often exposed to more physically demanding activities and benefit greatly from preventive care.

Stretching

Stretching involves lengthening muscles, muscle groups, connective tissue, and surrounding joint structures.
Regular, correctly performed stretching helps prevent injuries (such as muscle strains) and offers many benefits. It reduces muscle tension, improves tissue elasticity, and increases or maintains range of motion.
Learning how to stretch your dog also helps you become more familiar with its body, making it easier to detect tension or injuries early.

Functional Training

Functional training includes targeted exercises designed to strengthen the individual dog. The level of difficulty and intensity is adapted based on the nature of the injury.
Examples include cavaletti exercises, balance cushions or balls, and surface training. These exercises help build strength while improving balance and coordination.
